General - Scope
WEPAL-QUASIMEME is part of Wageningen University, the Netherlands and offers globally accredited proficiency testing programmes in environmental matrices. Within WEPAL-QUASIMEME, WEPAL deals with proficiency tests in terrestrial environment (soil, plants, manure, compost and biomass) and freshwater sediment. QUASIMEME organises proficiency tests in the marine environment (seawater, marine sediment, biota and shellfish toxins). Additionally, WEPAL-QUASIMEME offers special (development) exercises to develop and improve methodology, which can lead to a new programme on a regular basis.
